Bad as last weekend was in Victoria, the death toll (now approaching 200) comes nowhere near the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. As an aside, I've just finished reading James Lee Burke's book "The Tin Roof Blowdown" which is set in New Orleans during and immediately after Katrina. The magnitude of that disaster seems almost unbelievable. Cheers Brian ========= Yup. There was a great deal of flooding this year too (not necessarily New Orleans) and very strong cold spells, lots of snow in places that don't get that much, etc. And some people would still say there is no global warming.
