Not only do we have the terrible fires in South Australia and Victoria (with less serious ones in New South Wales), but we also have very severe flooding in north Queensland! Fortunately, the death toll from the flooding is very low, only, I think, two people - although, tragically, one of those was a five-year-old boy taken by a crocodile on his parent's tourism property.
The central part of the east coast is barely affected - we have our normal summer weather - blue skies, rain and sometimes thunder in the afternoons, and a not too unpleasant 30C (+/- each day). That's a telling image, Brian. Reminds me of the waterspout shot in downtown Miami a couple years back. A good number of out PDML family live in Oz. I hope none of you are affected by these fires. I'm reading this morning that they are reporting 854 dead. You guys stay safe.
