+r will not work in nearly as many standard DVD players for video
applications.
-r is more compatible for video usage. I only use -r for years now
because of
this even though all my current sony dvd video players are +r
compatible.

Very informative!  Thanks for relaying that so succinctly.  I had always
figured Verbatim was a cheapo brand, but apparently not!

Now, would someone remind me of the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R?
