Hi Tony: I'd never heard of these printers, so I googled them & discovered
that they are all-in-one printers--& I didn't check to see what they are
selling for--but I'd like to say this: If you are the Tony that just joined
the list & bought a K20D (which is a pretty serious camera) & are now taking
a night-school photography class, it sounds like you're pretty serious about
learning photography. If so, then I'd suggest you get a photo-dedicated
printer as opposed to an all-in-one. Of course, I don't know your budget &
all your needs etc, so maybe this advice is off base, but why don't you
check out HP, Epson, Canon web sites & see if there is a photo dedicated
printer within your budget. Also, I shot for a year & a half before I had a
photo dedicated printer--I used online printers to do prints--mostly proof
size, but it was something. Also, will you have access to inkjet printers
through your photo class? If so, you might want to use them before you buy
to kind of see what you end up liking with respect to photo dedicated
printers. As to the ink & paper, well you had just better make peace with
the cost of that :-). Just my 2 cents. Cheers, Christine

Subject: OT: Printer Question
Anyone got one of those Kodak ESP 5 or ESP 7 printers?
My wife and I joined a night-school photography class, and wanted to get
a decent printer, that wouldn't put us in the poorhouse buying ink.
Seen the ads and commercials for the Kodak units, but anyone here have
any real-world experience with it?
Tony
