I read a story once (maybe it was here) about a photographer who submitted his portfolio to Magnum for consideration. He was upset at their dismissal of his work, and complained because, he said, "My pictures are just like Cartier-Bresson's". The reply was "Yes, that is true. But Cartier-Bresson's are like no-one else's".
