I was going through some old files and found this one. It's part of a series I did to more or less test my shoulder stock modification for electronic shutter release cameras, but I got a few decent shots of this egret standing on a stump fishing, (I posted a few others back then as well). This one didn't seem quite as interesting or dramatic, but the more I've looked at it the more I like it. I can't remember which lens I used, either the A*300 f4.0 with AF 1.7x combo or the Vivitar 600mm f8.0, Solid cat. Probably the former as I don't detect any donut shaped bokah, but you don't always get that even with catadioptric lenses. Well any it was an excuse for another awful pun on egret...
