They are a classic combination which many of us have, including me (earlier versions). I also have the 190, which is a good smaller tripod - it has been around Ethiopia and India, among other less exotic places, with me.
I have to disagree with Godfrey's earlier suggestion about the grip ball head. I have one and find it essentially unusable, the reason being that you need 3 arms to use it effectively in my experience. Although having just written that I was about to explain why when I realised that one of the arms was for focussing manually and adjusting the aperture ring on the lens, so if you don't do that it may be ok. Nevertheless, I've found it difficult to set accurately and impossible to adjust finely.
