Mainly because it doesn't suit the way I operate, it's lack of the
shutter half press to activated the meter/AF.

Generally I have my eye to the VF, my right hand working the tripod
head/adjusting exposure settings, and my left hand focusing/using the
cable release to take the shot.

It's just how I'm used to shooting.
