I have changed my mind about going to GFM. Applied for air line ticket refund, if I can't get a refund, I may come after all. :-) I should know in a day or two. But I see no reason I won't get one.
As the trip comes closer and closer I have found my reluctance to travel by plane from California to NC has increased and increased. Last time I did it, 2004, I was pretty unhappy, actually very unhappy. It's a long flight, well, two flights, with a layover in between, so it is very tiresome. And the planes are small, I am tall, and my knees start cramping up after about an hour or two (arthritis, usually mild). I thought I could talk myself into doing it again this year, but it seems my body is more unwilling than I thought to undertake that unpleasantness again. Just posting this to give a heads up that there will probably (most likely be) another GFM ticket available. If any PDMLer wants it (got to buy it from me, of course). If not, when things are finalized, I will notify GFM people so they can notify their waiting list. Although I am resubscribed, I will now be lurking for a few days rather than commenting/reading. Still busy.
