I only had two problems. Once when I had two laptops and a camera. An
overly zealous gate attendant started yelling after me subsequent to a
different gate attendant letting me pass through the gate. "Sir you are only
allowed 2 carry-ons". "I have a $3000 camera bag and two $2000 laptops.
Which of these does the airline want to pay for when I check it as luggage?"

I was passed.

The other time was when the dufus TSA person was telling the traveler in
front of me that he didn't have to have his film hand-checked, even though
it's his right to request it. The traveler was explaining how clouding
effects are cumulative. I was backing him up. The TSA officer said "Well
my government tells me it won't hurt it and I believe what my government
tells me." I was in a mood so I asked, I'm sure a little too loudly in a
mocking tone of voice "You believe what your government tells you?". Heads
started turning, so I decided to shutup since I really did want to get home
that evening.
