I can certainly understand that. I used to enjoy air travel but the  
"security" stupidity that's ensued since 9/11 has made passing  
through airports such a major pain I try to avoid it unless required.

That said, I've just booked a trip to Denver, another to NY and am  
working on the itinerary to the UK again. I wish I could take a train  
on the domestic trips, I like that a lot more, but the cost is too  
disparate.
