You got that right. That's why Sony has been making a big deal of their forthcoming pro model, traipsing all around the world with their portable pyramid showroom. It's not just street cred in places like the USA, it's **prestige** in their home market. It's hard for an outsider to understand just how important this is in Japan. Pentax has really been hurt by the lack of a serious pro camera in recent years. They probably should have gone ahead and produced the full frame digital in spite of the problems with the Philips chip.
