That's good advice, Maris, and I have indeed begun using a sniping service when I can't be online at the close of an eBay auction. I always place one "maximum" bid during the last 10 seconds of an auction, whether using sniping SW or placing the bid manually. It keeps me from getting hypercompetitive and chasing other bidders!
