Great shot, Bill. The composition works nicely for me in several ways - I wish I'd taken it! I have a Gitzo 1410 tripod with a Manfrotto 3421 gimbal head which is sturdy enough to support my A*400/2.8 so it should do OK with the A*600/5.6, which only weighs about half as much. Of course the A*600 is longer, and you advise that the tripod mount isn't optimally located, so I'll have to check it out.
