I would like to get a Pentax lens, but because of the cost I will probably have to settle for something like the Tamron lenses I have for my *Ist.
----- Mike, if money is an issue, buy a less expensive camera (like the K100D) but a good lens. DSLRs go out of date quickly, like computers. So for enduring value, get a good lens now and upgrade to a better camera in a few years. If you buy an expensive camera and a cheap lens, in three years you will have an outdated camera and a cheap lens. If you buy a less expensive camera and a good lens, in three years you will have an outdated camera and a good lens. Lenses give the most enduring value.
