Hi Jostein, I am no expert with AF, but my Canon rarely missed focus. However when I shoot at the fashion show once a year, I use a friends high dollar Nikon and it would miss Focus about 1 out of 30 shots for no apparent reason. I think I would have it looked at to be sure.
