Sort of hard to explain why I am debating this now. Not sure I can. But the
K10D is going to be a long wait for me, and I bought three older Pentax lenses
in anticipation.

I have a complete Canon kit, so it would be more a venture into Pentax
digital. See if I got Pentax lenses I like, see if I like some performance etc.
Keep
the kit I have, Digital Rebel, and five good to very good lenses, but start
trying out the other, a Pentax digital kit.

I know several have used the DS and like it a lot. Used prices on DSs have
dropped way down. The K100D new is about $175, close to $200 more, but it would
let me see how Pentax's AS works. On the other hand, the DS is a proven
performer with a faster write and/or bigger buffer than the K100D. My Canon,
Digital
Rebel, takes a while to write and the buffer isn't that big. But supposedly
both the DS and K100D would also have a better viewfinder which would be
interesting to explore.

Anyone used both? What would you go for?

(Please don't say K10D, that is a while off.)

I currently have the A 70-210, the A 35-105, the DA 16-45, and also might get
another lens or two. (Debating a couple of choices, but that can wait.)

TIA, Thanks in advance, Marnie aka Doe
