Forgive me I've been away from the list for some time, it was you who told me 
originally I believe, as well as showing some of your great images. I feel OK 
with the 300 and converters because I can enter the focal length manually as 
long as the camera will let me. I'm pretty sure I should be able to overide 
the automatic settings, but it remains to be seen. It's the zoom I'm 
concerned with knowing some of the problems Canon owners have had to put up 
with Sigma lenses such as the 70-200/2.8 EX.
