First off, I should say I've been shooting an *istD with a battery
grip. Prior to that, a Pentax 6x7 and before that an LX with a winder
or motor drive. I don't like itty-bitty cameras. I don't like cameras
that feel cheap.
I love the feel of the 10D. The texture of the coverings is nice and
grippy. The protrusion on the right that you wrap your hand around is
substantial. I could live with this camera even without the grip. I
know I'm going to love it with the grip. I recall that bill expressed
some misgivings in regard to build quality. Like me, he was afraid
that it wouldn't match the quality of the D at this selling price.
The good news, no the great news is that it feels at least as
substantial and well built as the D. Perhaps better. A very fine
camera . By today's standards, a tremendous bargain. Woo Hoo!
