Hello Paul,

The new grip is a bit better than the one on the D.  It has three
posts at the edges to keep it from twisting on the camera - the D only
had two.  It is easier to screw tight to the body, and the shutter
button doesn't accidentally get pushed by your hand when in landscape
mode (some of you know what I am talking about - the mysterious sudden
lens focusing...).  It also has the needed buttons from the body so
that you can run it from the grip - green, AE-L and compensation -
including lighting up of the top LCD.

Speaking of which, I just noticed the lighting on the top LCD - much
improved visibility over the D.

Lots of little touches about this camera to like <grin>.
