Judging by the replies, I suspect my cd/dvd burner is stuffed.  I'll try 
with Picasa, but if that doesn't work, it's kaput.  I've tried the drag and 
drop in windows explorer and various other things to no avail.  Also, the 
dvd type is fine for the drive.  Damn, I think it may have had it.
