I don't normally keep much equipment that I'm not using. Unused  
equipment sitting on a shelf is money tied up unproductively. Newer  
lens designs are usually better performers, with some exceptions. I  
hold onto older lenses when I need them and cannot find a better  
performer in a new lens, and I accept whatever constraints on  
operation that might imply if their advantage in use is worth it to me.

That's because I'm a rational user of camera equipment, not some  
hysterical idiot who can't get what he wants and acts like a spoiled,  
retarded child.
