It might just depend on where you hang out.

About eighty to ninety percent of the people taking my community ed.
classes are women.  Most are mothers in their mid-twenties to
mid-forties.

The series of classes that just ended, for example was made up of
eight women and one retired guy.

He had a Canon S2
Two of the women had Canon G series cameras.
The remainding cameras were Canon dSLRs; four XTs, one 20D and one 30D.

I'll be interested to see if a few Pentax cameras start creeping into
the mix after the holidays.
