They seem to las forever, in fact I haven't managed to actually run them down in the camera despite taking 700+ pictures at one point. I have not seen any issues with discharge while my camera sat for a few about a week. Also, why nto get a decent smart charger (like the ones Maha makes and two sets of batts? If you leave the batts on the charger they won't discharge.
