I realize this is like the Mac vs Windows arguments, but for me, I detest lame NiMh batteries that self-discharge at such an alarming rate that I always have to reach for the charger to "top off" batteries before heading out to something I'm going to shoot. I love the idea of having just one extra battery, topped off and ready to go..... hit the road, shoot until #1 is exhausted, and (surprise!) battery #2 is still fully charged and ready for the next stream of photos. No more fumbling with stacks of AAs and having them roll across a stage in the middle of a concert. Ah! Heaven! (But that's just me.
