Hi everybody... how's it going?

Just to say "thanks" to all of your opinions on monopods & long lenses... 
hopefully I'll be
posting some pictures soon...

I just got it yesterday... YAY! Woohoo! decided to get a good one... so got 
this Gitzo Mountaineer
MK2...  so far, I'm still  learning how to use it.. but as far as I've seen... 
it seems like a
good monopod is WAY better than a cheapo tripod... :)

Of course it's not enough for slow shutter speeds... but I think it's more 
stable than my jello
tripod (at least with the 500mm lens)

There's no head on it... but for now, seems like I won't need one... seems to 
be "easy" to lean
back and forth in order to adjust the camera/lens up and down... 

The mosquitoes are driving me crazy here, so it's quite  frustrating to get out 
on the land...
but... let's see!
