Unfortunately a camera, or even a tripod head level cannot (easily) be used to level the tripod. In theory it's possible, but first one would have to get the camera base and the top of the tripod -- the flat surface which mates with the underside of the head -- in perfect horizontal agreement. This would be very difficult. The head has three degrees of freedom. If I had a panorama head it would be a piece of cake -- but I don't
