If you're going to be printing a lot of B&W, you might as well try a  
fully desaturated file.  I remember you wanted to dedicate a second  
printer to a specialist B&W inkset, but you may find the standard  
inkset to your liking.  If not, you could look into something like  
the Quadtone RIP which is very cheap (much cheaper than a second  
printer).  I tried it a while ago and was very impressed with the  
results, compared to the standard Epson driver.
