One thing to consider is that you're pricing Epson Premium Glossy
paper, one of the most expensive surfaces available from Epson, and
you're pricing directly from the Epson website ... in other words, at
retail list prices. Other choices at lower price abound. With the Oly
P440, you don't have any choices other than the discount vendors
pricing structure...

With the R2400, I'd estimate that after 100 8.5x11 inch prints I'll
likely need to replace three-four of the eight ink carts, and by the
time I hit 150 or so I'll likely cycle through an entire inkset. Some
carts I always use faster than others. So let's look at the 100 sheet
costs presuming a full, fresh inkset for simplicity.

Epson Enhanced Matte (my standard paper) is $14 per 50 sheet box and
ink carts are $13 apiece, so my price per print is US$0.80. Velvet
Fine Art or Premium Glossy in the same size consumes about 20% more
ink per page and the paper costs twice as much, so the price goes up
to $1.20 per print.

Alternatively, there are many third party papers for the Epson at
both lower and higher prices too. And there are alternative, lower
cost inks (but I never use anything but Epson K3 inks). Roll paper
options reduce the paper cost again.

Olympus P440 paper costs $75 for 100 sheets. The color ribbon kit for
50 sheets is roughly $40 depending upon whether you want matte or
glossy finish. That comes to $1.55 per print, or almost twice as much
as I spend for Epson Enhanced Matte cut-sheet prints and 30% more per
print for Velvet Fine Art.

All prices from B&H Photo' current website, http://www.bhphotovideo.com.
