Oh Dear!

I think that as the member of this group who has been using film longer*
than most, maybe even all, I should again say something. I use digital
now because it saves time -- vast** amounts of time. On the microscopes
I use a simple (modified) web camera at high magnifications and it shows
perfect detail at the limit of resolution for light. At low
magnification*** I use the 'D' now in preference to the superb
Wild/Leica MPS51. If I could get results from film that are available
with the Web Cam in real time -- or within minutes as I can with the D
-- I'd go on using it. But I can't; and I have a lot to do and less time
to do it than most. The arguments I've been reading are silly because we
all know what film can do. For me it's just a matter of time.

* 60 years.
** Orders of magnitude amounts of time
*** The lower the magnification the more pixels needed.
