Jens, I don't think that many would argue what you've written below. But it's quite different from your statement that started the ruckus -- that users of digital are either uncritical of the results or spend a lot of time on post-production. This is only true if you're not shooting optimally.
Likewise, I challenge your blanket "jpegs suck" statement. They suck IF you make bad exposure choices, yes.
