Now I'm really screwed -- I suppose it is what I get for going to the dark side...
my Canon PRO-1 that I'd learned to love was drowned about a month ago.... It went to Canon for repairs.... which were going to drive me further into credit card debt as it is but now, a whole f'in month after they had the camera they call it irrepairable. I borrowed the a-1 from the person I sold mine too just so I could do ebay stuff, but I can't use that for stuff I want to sell.... So one wonders if the camera is truly totally dead - or they just dont want to bother... I'm getting it back -- hoping that they are lying - If they are not -- I have several questions The first is, am I being punished for going to the dark side??? :) The second is - does anyone know someone who would like to try to fix it or want it for parts? Do I want a DL? if not, why not? The Pentax glass I have left are only manual lenses - It seems to make more sense regarding my difficulty in learning stuff at this stage that I need a one step up Canon or to get a replacement for the PRO-1 - the same camera - refurbished or something, cheap.
