Oh but I have, several times, and love it. There's a world of difference between Mr Hearst's monstrosity and the mob's. The place is amazing. Once I even put a dollar into a slot machine. To my surprise ten came out. I spent most of that on beer. As I left I dropped the last coin into another machine and nothing came out. That was the extent of my gambling. I found the mountains and the desert fascinating and spent
some time exploring both. I took some pictures. I may be able to find them.

I was based out of Paso Robles and for a short time Lemoore back in the early 80s. It was shortly after getting my first 35mm cameras (Super Program and LX). I took the tour of the Hearst Castle. It was almost overbearing with all the different styles.
I took plenty of photos.
