I wouldn't count on anything positive coming from this group, if
that's what you mean by "the brotherhood". Someone will whine and
moan no matter if Pentax released the Messiah from prison.
I never really wanted an LX but the MZ-S continues to pique my
interest. However, I don't shoot film enough anymore to consider it
anything but dead, and spending $500 or so for an MZ-S body would be
a waste of money for me (I still haven't gotten around to using that
MX on the shelf, and it's been a year..). Pity ... I really like the
way the MZ-S fits my hands.

Same here, Rod. Difference being I bought the MZ-S, etc. while I could
still find one. It has kept me juiced about shooting and completely
happy with film. (Find, however, that I shoot just as much with the
LX).
It has been my plan to keep track of Pentax DSLR progress (?) and
possibly make a move, utilizing my existing glass, when a truly tech.
"high end" contender became available. This, of course, only after
having sensed a positive reaction by the brotherhood, etc..
