Subject: Manual Focus lens on digital..

Hi all,
I was wondering... you lucky pentaxians that may use all the old
pentax lenses line down to the screwmount ones on the DSLRs ( I HATE
YOU!!! ;) ) how do you manage to keep your pics in focus (for those of
you that actually do it, that is ;)..???
Do the Pentax's DSLRs have interchangeable focus screens with split
screen/micro prisms (and do you have and use it?) or do you focus with
the plain one?

I never liked the split-screen "focusing" aid. I use long lenses with TCs and they always just blacked out. I used to use a matte screen on the LX and MX and found that the D's plain screen worked fine for manual focusing. It also has a good viewfinder compared to most DSLRs. I rarely used AF on the D or the 20D. I currently use Pentax screw mount lenses on my 20D and find it just as easy to focus.

And, do the focus confirmation lights light up even when you're using a MF lens?

With the *ist D the if you set the body to AF, and use a MF lens, the focus confirmation lights work. (I only used the center one, so I don't know if the others work with MF lenses).
