The general statement should not matter in this case, you know exactly how fast it has gone so far: what are the differences between D and DS2 and do they matter to you?
Also, i do need a display, since i "shoot" models and have to see the results "on site" (i don't have a laptop)
I am sure all digi owners will shout at once: don't do it on the LCD, no matter how big, it isn't big enough.
