Michael ... buydig.com has the DS, and at a great price, too. That's where I bought mine, and where a number of other list members got theirs. Price of the istDS this morning @ buydig is $556.00. Lowest price on the net, it seems. Shipping is quick, too. I got a small glitch straightened out @ 10:30 yesterday morning, and within two hours the camera was in the shipping pipeline, and this morning it's here in Oakland, just a few miles from Casa Belinkoff.
You can wait for the DS2, but it seems you'll pay about $200.00 more if the opening price is any indicator.The differences between the DS and DS2 are very small - not worth the wait or the increased price, IMO. The DL, if for no reason than the cheaper viewfinder, is not an option - and considering that it's $100.00 more than the DS @ buydig, it's even less of a value.
