Hi All, I know that there are several professional photographers on PDML. So, I was curious, - if you have done such thing, - how do you talk with a greeting cards printing company (e.g. Hallmark, or their smaller comptetitors)?
Say, I have an idea for funny card that is based on a photograph image taken by me, and I want to try to offer my design to a card-printing company. Since it is more than just an image, the idea can be used by somebody else who can take his own image. So, how would you disclose your image+idea without getting scooped by the company or somebody else in the chain? So, to make it a more universal question: I know that in a similar situation, in case of inventions, it is possible to apply for a patent; have an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) signed by the company; one can register a trademark design, but what can be done with the artwork? Thanks in advance for your responses. Igor
