I have been getting these types of spoofs daily for many months.
I never fall for them but here is one I did ( but thankfully
my ebay tools detected it and warned me )

This one was good ( its an ebay password scam, not a paypal password
scam ).
Anyway basically it was formatted to look just like an ebay "question
from seller" email
and said something to the effect "I am a Canadian and wish to purchase
several of your ebay items at same time, will you give a shipping
discount
for a multiple item purchase all shipped together?" when I saw this I
immediately responded with the usual link in the email and it took
me to the ebay login page ( or so I thought ), as I entered my ebay
password I got the ebay tools warning that it was a fraudulent site
and no harm was done but if I hadnt had the ebay tools installed I would
have gotten burned. BE CAREFUL and install the ebay password protection
tools, they work!

Subject: Beware Counterfeit PayPal E-mail

Last week I received what looked like, at first glance, an e-mail
message
from PayPal informing me of a problem with my account. It had the
PayPal
logo, etc. It asked me to click on a link to correct some problems with
my
account. I was then expected to fill out a form of personal information

containing among other things, SSN, credit card number, PIN, which I did
not
do.

This was obviously an identity theft attempt. It was also obviously sent
by
a person(s) whose first language was not English. I immediately went to

PayPal and found no evidence of problems whatsoever. A PayPal link also

indicated they always use a member's first or last name in e-mails (of
little comfort).

Text of the message read (including misspacing and grammatical errors):
