And, the *ist DS is much cheaper than the D that you bought 1 1/2 years ago. What of it? We all knew (okay, ~you~ all knew, since I didn't buy one) that prices were going to drop within a relatively short period of time. Why do you want the 8 megapixel body from the "other brand"?
