This is a really interesting thread to be reading while I'm in the middle of studying the Ansel Adams 3 volume "Photography Series" (The Camera, The Negative and The Print) for the fourth time. If focus, exposure and printing are no longer some- thing to concern myself with then I'm wasting a good bit of time reading books by that finicky old curmudgeon. He seems to want to substitute the words "the very best you can do" for "good enough". Imagine that! Oh well, maybe he was just old-fashioned.
