Talking about grain, I have recently discovered the scans from Reala & Superia
400
looks the same on my computer. A quick check with the Fujifilm spec revealed all
Fujifilm colour negatives from 100-400 have diffused RMS4. Now, does that mean
they
are all equally fine grain? Btw, Superia 100 might produce bolder colour than
Reala,
if that's what you wanted.

This method is a breeze with digital, but I have never managed to reproduce the
same
consistency in colour and exposure with scans, especially negative scans. Anyone
done that with success?
