i scan without color or exposure correction. the scanner's automatic color gets turned off. the images, of course, are exposed identically. only after stitching do i do any adjustments. the bigger problem i have is with alignment. some panorama software doesn't tolerate different tilts to the images, which happens when the negative strip twists slightly or the slides aren't mounted precisely the same for each frame.

This method is a breeze with digital, but I have never managed to reproduce the same
consistency in colour and exposure with scans, especially negative scans. Anyone
