Hi guys,
Thanks to you all.

To Bill: I'm afraid the problem you had with your third LX is the same I had
with my second one. The focus was almost impossible in every point of the
frame; focusing the lens at infinity the image was very slightly out of focus
in the lower part of the frame and the focus got worse toward the upper part.
It was due only to the bottom rest, of course.

I already made a dozen of shots with the last LX and the focus, using the
centre of the frame, appears good. I've also made some side by side comparison
with the three cameras by mounting them on a tripod, focusing on the same
subject (at 0,5m) and using the same lens. The distance shown on the scale of
the lens was the same. Only the third LX shows this unusual problem if you try
to use the matte surface.
Now I'm going to check what Rob suggested, if there is some debris where the
screen rests.

I'm already scared by the price of a simple CLA on an LX... I really have the
creeps thinking about the camera completely stripped....
Argh!

I'll let you know what comes out.

Gianfranco
