I had the same problem with my third LX (Gosh it is nice to be
able to say that!!). Adjusting the height of the bottom mirror
rest was the cure.
Rob Studdert goes into some detail about the mirror rest here

Adjusting the height of the rest so that focus was correct from
top to bottom also gave correct focus at the film plane.
