Dear Marnie, I am the Customer Service Supervisor at JOBO and have been made aware of your emails. I will clarify two things to you:
1. Jobo Fototechnic, Inc. is not the exclusive distributor for products made from Grand Level including the Image Tank and Image Tank G2. Grand Level also sells these products directly to other resellers such as mydigitaldiscount.com. Jobo cannot be responsible for product that was not sold directly or indirectly by us. This would be no different than asking Sears to support a product purchased from Penny's. From reading your emails I think you now understand this. You asked why the Grand Level products are listed as a Jobo products on many sites. Good question. The reason is the practices of many dealers, particularly photo dealers. There was a time in the photo world when distributors such as Jobo were always exclusive distributors. The only place a dealer could purchase such a product was from the exclusive distributor. In the digital world distributors are seldom exclusive as is the case with Grand Level. Nevertheless, dealers still maintain their old ways of doing business. 2. In your emails you said you had posted on internet sites in a manner that would damage the reputation of Jobo regarding this matter. I can only assume such threats were made before you understood that Jobo has no relationship with mydigitaldiscount.com. We respectfully ask you to issue retractions immediately in the same venues. While we like to avoid such problems, we will take legal action if libel has been committed. Thank you, Mark A. Sheesh, some people sure can't handle complaints these days. OTOH, I retract my badmouthing of JOBO. IT'S A WONDERFUL COMPANY WHO HAS REPLIED TO ALL MY EMAILS. (I won't qualify the type of replies.) I'll just badmouth the ImageTank G2 -- it's a lousy piece of junk. (I wrote a review of it, more in depth, and posted it to the list, but I don't think it made it through.)
