Which is what this is. OK, it goes up to 45mm, but it's essential use
is down at 16, would be my take.

Not the case with this lens though.

I have many MF lenses. I use the FA50/1.7 mostly in MF (and it's all
yours and Graywolf's fault :-). Some AF lenses are better than other
in that respect. Heck, the MF AD2 Tamron 90/2.5 I have is an AF design
with a very short throw.
