I can't say, myself, at least not quite yet. The A 70-210/4 is a fine lens, but I have not (yet) owned the F 70-210/4-5.6. However, I have heard really good things here on the PDML about the F 70-210 lens. I'm hoping that the opinions are correct, because I just recently purchased an F 70-210/4-5.6 (although it hasn't arrived just yet). I do tend not to care for variable-aperture zoom lenses, but the glowing reports of the design's optical qualities have made me curious... Fred
