This doesn't necessarily constitutes a comercial success. It may be made of whatever you can imagine - if the price is not competitive, nobody will buy it except for a few hobbyists.
There is the manufacturing cost, and then there is the demand-supply factor. I guess we could not determine if it was overpriced unless they name it NIKON because the demand for high end Pentax is always low.
