Thanks, Hugh. I bookmarked these sites. I've been needing a new computer. I
am currently using a Gateway. I don't know if it's just this computer or all
Gateways but I hate this one. System Restore doesn't work. I had to change
the DVD burner 4 times because the computer didn't recognize it. I even put
Norton GoBack on, thinking that maybe it would override the Windows System
Restore, but I can't even go back with GoBack! I was interested in Vista
anyway, so we went out and got an HP Pavilion Media Center E6400. I guess it
might be one of the better ones out there right now, because every time we
tried to go and buy it, the stores couldn't keep it on the shelves. I ended
up ordering it with a 22" monitor. Can't wait to hook it up. I have a
feeling, though, I will have to buy a lot of new software.

I usually jump on any new OS from MS, but after using the trial version
for 6 months, I'm not impressed. You can get things done, and the
security is allegedly better, but it can be a real trial.
Networking is a pain, the interface is too different, and UAC (User
account control) sucks. It will take some getting used to.

There are several good books out, also.
